ANOTHER AWARD FOR THE V70, VOLVO'S ULTIMATE ESTATE CAR
The iconic Volvo V70 (2000-2007) has been awarded the Best Used Estate title at the annual What Diesel? Car of the Year Awards, adding yet another trophy to the estate car's cabinet. The Volvo V70 D5 beat off stiff competition from rivals such as Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI Estate and BMW 320d Touring to secure the top spot.
When the Volvo V70 estate was launched it dominated the premium large estate car market, and defined the parameters by which estate cars were judged by mixing practicality and design with quality, comfort and desirability.

Volvo's 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel powerplant has been the best selling diesel engine in the Volvo V70 range since its introduction in 2001 and, with strong residual values, the model remains a popular investment. For example a 2003 model Volvo V70 D5 SE on a 52 plate (58,000 miles) is available through Volvo's Selected Used Car programme2 - from around £11,995, this includes leather seats, Electronic Climate Control, alloy wheels, CD changer, cruise control and heated seats3.
In addition the car will have been prepared to a strict Selected Used Car standard which begins with an 84 point check. The car will have been verified for mileage and ownership history. The buyer's peace of mind is underlined by an excellent 12 month 20,000 mile warranty package including Volvo roadside assistance and European cover. A similar specified V70 example from 2006 with 33,000 miles on the clock from around £17,995 will receive all the same Selected Used Car benefits and cover level but with the added assurance of a 2 year 40,000 mile warranty as standard.
