Automatic start of seat heating

The function for automatic start of seat heating varies depending on car model and differs between the driver's and passenger sides.

Driver's and passenger seat

You can set automatic start of seat heating. The function differs between driver's and passenger sides. If you have activated the function, seat heating starts automatically for the driver's seat if the outside temperature is below 10°C, while the passenger seat heater starts with the last setting selected, regardless of outside temperatureThe function varies depending on car model and software version..

Activate automatic start of seat heating

To set automatic start of seat heating, do the following:

Press Settings in top view in the centre display.

Press Climate.

Under Auto Driver Seat Heating Level and Auto Passenger Seat Heating Level, select Off, Low, Medium or High to activate/deactivate and select level for automatic start of the seat heating.

Passenger side

If you selected one of the automatic modes for the passenger seat, the seat heater will start in this mode regardless of the ambient temperature. Note that different settings for automatic start of the seat heater can be saved to driver profiles. To read more about driver profiles, see Driver profiles.

XC90 and XC90 Twin Engine of model year 2016 (with software released 16w46).

XC90, XC90 Twin Engine, S90, V90 (built between 16w17 and 16w45 with software released 16w46).
