Adding a contact detail for Volvo ID account recovery
After you've created a Volvo ID account, it's good to add an additional contact detail to your account's personal details. This will allow you to recover your account if you lose access to the e-mail account or phone number you provided as your username when creating your Volvo ID. This also means that you won't need to create a new Volvo ID account and you'll be able to easily reset a forgotten password.
When recovering your account, a verification code will be sent to your additional contact detail to verify your Volvo ID. For information on how to recover your account, see .
It's important that the additional contact detail is an e-mail address or phone number that you have access to and is personal to you.
- Go to volvocars.com.
- Press Sign in.
- After you've signed in, select Account.
- Press Change under Personal details.
- Fill in all the details and press Save details.If your Volvo ID username is an e-mail address, you'll be able to add a phone number to your personal details. If your Volvo ID username is a phone number, you'll be able to add an e-mail.
