Stopping DC charging

You can stop the charging process at any time by pressing the release button next to the charging port.

Important

Make sure to stop the charging process before attempting to unplug the cable from the car's charging port. If you do not, you may cause damage to the cable or to the system.
  1. Stop charging by pressing the release button next to the charging port.

    The charging is stopped and the charging cable's handle unlocks. This may take a couple of seconds.

  2. Unplug the charging cable from the car.

    Note

    If the charging cable isn’t unplugged within a short period of time, the cable locks again and charging resumes.
  3. If available, reattach the protective cover on the cable connector.
  4. Reattach the charging port's protective cover and close the charging lid.
