Service intervals for your Volvo

Learn about service intervals, notifications, and booking options for the latest generation of Volvo cars.

Service intervals

Your Volvo's service schedule depends on what type of car you have:

  • Petrol, diesel, and hybrid cars should be serviced every 12 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • Fully electric cars should be serviced every 24 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Service notifications

When it's time to service your car you'll usually receive service notifications in your car’s display and in the Volvo Cars app.

Tip

If you need to book a service you can use the Volvo Cars app, book online or contact your Volvo retailer directly.

Note

You can find more specific information in your car’s user manual or the service and warranty booklet.

What happens if you miss your service interval

A service can be carried out up to approximately 30 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first, after the service deadline without affecting your warranty. However, you should always aim to service your car on time.

Missing or significantly delaying a service beyond this grace period may affect warranty coverage and your car's condition. If you've missed a service, contact an authorised Volvo workshop. Each case is assessed individually.
