Creating a Volvo ID

You need a Volvo ID to log in to the Volvo Cars app. Create your Volvo ID from the app or from the Volvo website.

This article is applicable to models with Google built-in.

From the Volvo Cars app

Make sure that you have the latest version of the Volvo Cars app.
Select Create Volvo ID.
Enter a phone number1 or an e-mail address to which you have access.
Activate your account by following the instructions that are automatically sent to you.

From the Volvo website

Go to volvoid.eu.volvocars.com/Account.
Select Create your Volvo ID.
Enter a phone number1 or an e-mail address to which you have access.
Activate your account by following the instructions that are automatically sent to you.

 Note

If you share a car with other people, it is recommended that every user creates their own Volvo ID since they are personal.

A Volvo ID can be linked to up to ten cars, and each car can have up to ten Volvo IDs linked to them.

S60, S60 Recharge, model year 2023 and later

S90, S90 Recharge, model year 2022 and later

V60, V60 Recharge, V60 Cross Country, model year 2023 and later

V90, V90 Recharge, V90 Cross Country, model year 2022 and later

XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, model year 2021 and later

XC40 (mild hybrid), model year 2023 and later

XC60, XC60 Recharge, model year 2022 and later

XC90, XC90 Recharge, model year 2023 and later
