‘A standout in the segment’: Volvo EX40 wins Wheels best small electric SUV

The Volvo EX40 has beaten a host of rivals to be crowned best small electric SUV by Wheels magazine, published by Which Car?

Wheels judges ran the rule over more than a dozen small electric SUVs from the major European luxury brands as well as other global carmakers.

The EX40 came out top.

“Overall this is a stand-out in the segment,” Wheels’ experts astutely concluded. “It’s handsome, practical, good to drive, well equipped and even though it’s on the pricier side, the long list of equipment helps to justify the cost.”

“Inside the EX40 is a long list of standard equipment, and excellent quality as well – as you’d expect from this brand.”

They added: “It’s comfortable but it can be fun as well.”
