Unlocking the tailgate from the inside of the car

The tailgate can be unlocked from inside the car using a button beside the steering wheel on the instrument panel.

P5-1507 Unlock/open tailgate with button from inside (without fuel filler cap-button)
  1. Briefly press the P5-1507 Open tailgate - interior button button on the instrument panel.
    The tailgate is unlocked and can be opened from the outside.
With the power operated tailgate option*:
  1. Hold the instrument panel's P5-1507 Open tailgate - interior button button depressed for a couple of seconds.
    The tailgate is opened.

Note

If the system for the power operated tailgate* works continuously for a long time, it is deactivated in order not to overload it. It can be used again after a few minutes.
