About subscription
Care by Volvo is a 24 month subscription lease program with an all-inclusive monthly payment. This payment includes the usage of the vehicle, maintenance, and other common services related to vehicle ownership. Volvo also takes care of the insurance coverage.
When you lease a car you are contracted for a longer time period, typically 36 months. With Care by Volvo you don’t have the same long-term commitment, as we provide you with the ability to cancel your subscription and return the vehicle any time after the first 4 months have passed (for contracts entered into Illinois your ability to cancel starts after 12 months).

With your Care by Volvo subscription, we include the factory scheduled maintenance services recommended for your Volvo (according to your Warranty & Maintenance booklet) with each 10,000 mile interval, at no charge. This also includes the wear items: replacement wiper blades, brake pads and rotors.
When your vehicle is returned, it will be subject to inspection by a third party. With Care by Volvo; we will waive up to $1,000 of excess wear on the condition report. Examples of excess wear includes large dents and dings to body panels, windshield damage, and tire replacement due to wear, scratched, gouged wheels and interior damage.
With Care by Volvo, we repair or replace unlimited tires and wheels damaged by road hazards, which include debris on the road or road conditions such as potholes. The wheel is covered when it cannot be balanced or will not hold air. Normal road characteristics, such as curbs, are not considered road hazards.

Taxes and registration fees vary by state and are not included in the subscription price shown online. Your monthly payment including taxes and fees will be summarized to you before proceeding.

Based on your state of residence, the registration fee might need to be paid separately. You may also be required to pay an annual renewal registration fee that will not be included in your monthly payment.

The Care by Volvo subscription includes an allotment of 1,250 miles per month. Unfortunately, we do not offer additional mileage to be purchased with Care by Volvo at this time. If you run over the 1,250 mile per month allotment you will be charged an additional $.25 per mile when you turn in your Volvo.
Care by Volvo is available for residents in US states excluding:  CA, FL, HI, MS, NC, ND, NY and SD.
A Care by Volvo subscription is for individual and family use, and not as a product for business use.
You can cancel your subscription any time after 4 months have expired in the lease term without incurring any early termination charge. Contracts entered into the state of Illinois, will be eligible for cancellation after 12 months. This cancellation option applies to any new subscriptions beginning October 21, 2020.
Care by Volvo is a flexible subscription program, and as long as you meet the required timeframe for the cancellation option, it is easy to return your vehicle and re-qualify for a new vehicle delivery. Please contact Customer Care to initiate your request for a new vehicle.
Yes, you can drive your vehicle in Canada for 30 days or less.

You would notify us of your address change, and we will mail you your new insurance cards. We will provide you with the required documentation for you to register the vehicle at your local DMV.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide insurance coverage in states where Care by Volvo is not offered. If you are planning to move to one of those states, please be prepared to either arrange for your own personal insurance policy or you can utilize the cancellation option listed above.

Customer Care will support you with 24/7 roadside assistance.
At the end of your subscription period you will need to return the vehicle to an authorized Volvo retailer. You will receive a final bill for any excess mileage above your 1,250 miles/month allowance and excessive wear per the vehicle condition report above the $1,000 waiver. Additionally, a Vehicle Turn-in fee of $350 is applicable unless you decide to sign a new contract to subscribe, lease or finance a new Volvo at that time.
If you are interested in purchasing your Volvo, you are certainly welcome to do so. The purchase price of your Volvo will be listed on your Care by Volvo contract, so you are aware of the price from the beginning.
Getting started
You can start your subscription online. Once you select your vehicle, you will complete a few simple steps to confirm your eligibility. Eligibility is based on insurance and credit factors.
You must have a valid US driver’s license and a minimum of 2 year’s credit history.
Insurance eligibility is determined by several different risk factors. Credit factors are also considered. We do accept joint applications where both applicants will need to qualify for the subscription.

A trade-in cannot be applied to the Care by Volvo subscription. If you have a trade-in, your preferred Volvo dealer can assist you with your trade as a separate transaction.

Yes, you will need to contact Customer Care at 1-800-550-5658 to cancel your online order prior to you signing the Care by Volvo agreement.
Care by Volvo cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer or special program.
Insurance
As part of the Care by Volvo program, Volvo takes care of insurance. We partner with Liberty Mutual Insurance to obtain comprehensive coverage for our vehicles.
Subject to state-specific rules, all drivers disclosed during the sign up process will be covered. Please contact 1-800-550-5658 if you have additional questions.

All of the required insurance documents will be provided at time of delivery. Customer Care will also follow up with additional documents within 1 week of taking delivery.

Coverages and limits are provided at or in excess of state requirements. Coverages and limits are pre-selected and cannot be modified. Your insurance coverage prohibits the use of the vehicle in any vehicle sharing program, to transport passengers or goods for hire. Please contact Customer Care at 1-800-550-5658 for more information.
This should be confirmed with your current umbrella insurance provider prior to taking delivery. We can provide you with the insurance coverage details and your vehicle VIN to share with your provider.
Your Care by Volvo subscription includes Gap Insurance to provide you with a worry-free experience.  In the unfortunate event of a total loss situation, you will be responsible for your Care by Volvo subscription payments up to the date of the loss as well as your deductible.
Vehicle delivery
After confirming eligibility, you can expect to take vehicle delivery within 2 weeks (subject to vehicle availability and transit time). Your subscription will start the day you take vehicle delivery.
Once your vehicle is available, your preferred dealer will contact you to schedule a time that works best for you. You can pick up the vehicle at the dealer or if you prefer home delivery please contact us for available options in your local area.
At the time of pick up, please bring your driver’s license and the first month’s payment.
Yes.
Yes, you can purchase any Volvo accessory through your Volvo dealer however it cannot be rolled into your monthly payment.
