Models equipped with 21-inch wheels have an EPA-certified electric driving range of up to 310 miles (MPGe: 86 city/ 82 highway/ 84 combined), while models equipped with 20-inch or 22-inch wheels feature an electric range of up to 300 miles (MPGe: 83 city/ 78 highway/ 81 combined) when the battery is fully charged and under ideal driving conditions. Use for comparison purposes only. Your range and MPGe will vary for many reasons, including but not limited to, driving conditions, how and where you drive, how you maintain your vehicle, battery-package/condition, and other factors. Visit fueleconomy.gov for further information.
The cost for electricity varies depending on local conditions, but the cost can be lower compared to gas or diesel. Charging an electric car is less expensive than fueling a gas car. To further lower the cost, you can pre-set your Volvo EX90 to charge during the times when the rates are the lowest, often at night.
You will find the fastest charging at a DC fast-charging station along the route. To charge as fast as possible, we recommend you to limit the car's charging level to 80%. This helps keep your charging times short because the last 20% of charging takes the longest time. So charging the battery from 10 to 80% at a 250kW DC fast-charger can be down to 30 minutes.
* But if needed to reach your destination or the next charging station, you can choose to charge the battery up to 100% using the settings in the car’s center display.
* Charging times may vary and are dependent on factors such as outdoor temperature, current battery temperature, charging equipment, battery condition and car condition.
You can find public charging stations via the Volvo Cars app or through Google Maps in countries where charging stations are included on the map.
Volvo Car electric vehicles will soon support the North American Charging Standard, enabling access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. This will complement the wide access of fast chargers currently available via the CCS (Combined Charging System) network available today. With this move, Volvo Cars continues to improve the electric vehicle experience for our consumers by unlocking access to an additional 12,000, and growing, public fast charging stations nationwide.
Yes, Google apps and services are integrated into the EX90 so you can interact with the infotainment system like you would with a smartphone.* Learn more about Google apps and services on the EX90 Features page. *Google services are enabled through the Digital services package which is included for four years. After this period ends, new terms and fees will apply if you choose to renew.
Yes, you can activate your digital key in your compatible iPhone or Android device wallet app to lock, unlock, and start your EX90.

Volvo Cars is committed to full traceability. We want our customers to feel confident that they are driving a Volvo where the battery’s raw material has been sourced responsibly. The introduction of blockchain technology significantly boosts traceability within our cobalt supply chain. Blockchain, in conjunction with inspection on mining sites, GPS tracking, entry and exit scanning, verified logistics providers, facial recognition, ID checks, and time tracking, allows material traceability from the mine to the car factory.
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure sustainability of our products and services. We are committed to the responsible sourcing of minerals and metals, and fully support the OECD Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-affected and High-risk Areas.
Sustainability performance is key for us when assessing and selecting suppliers. We monitor the performance of existing suppliers and follow up with third party audits. We also require from our battery suppliers to minimize carbon emissions during the production, including usage of renewable energy. All our suppliers must agree to the Volvo Cars' Code of Conduct for Business Partners, which includes assessment of human rights and labor laws.
We invite you to experience the vehicle that marks a new segment for Volvo. Join us at an Electrify Expo near you, where you’ll be among the first to meet our latest fully electric SUVs in person.
