Using a Google Assistant-enabled device, you can control your Volvo with your voice. Just say, “Hey Google” to get started.
Remote Actions

For all above commands there shall be a push-notification returned once the command is performed (allow up to 1min, sent after the command is executed) ** only for BEV and PHEV
Exterior Status
• Hey Google, Is my car locked? • Hey Google, Is my car unlocked? • Hey Google, Are the window open in my car? • Hey Google, Are the windows closed in my car?
For all above commands the user will get the status returned, no push- notification for these commands.
Charging-status
• Hey Google, Is my car plugged in? • Hey Google, Is my car charging? • Hey Google, How long until my car is done charging?
For all above commands the user will get the status returned, no push-notification for these commands.
Fuel / Battery Level and Range
• Hey Google, What is the charge level in my car? • Hey Google, How far can I drive my car? • Hey Google, What is the fuel level in my car? • Hey Google, What is the fuel range in my car?
For all above commands the user will get the status returned, no push-notification for these commands. -- Note: In a hybrid car the response is the sum of both the fuel-range and the battery-range
Volvo Requirements
• A Volvo vehicle with Google built-in. • Customer must have a Volvo ID (same account used to log into the Volvo Cars App). • Volvo ID must be paired to a Volvo vehicle with Google built-in via the Volvo Cars App. • The customer must have appropriate app installed on device to access Google Assistant Settings; the Google Home app installed for an Android phone, or the Google Assistant app installed for an iPhone. • Make sure the phone’s regional settings are set to US/English • If the customer has multiple vehicles with Google built-in paired to their Volvo ID, they must specify which Volvo. For Example, “Hey Google, warm up my Volvo.” may not work, so they would need to say, “Hey Google, warm up my C40.” When only a single Volvo is paired, the customer does not need to specify the model.
