JUANITA DOBY
Vice President of Human Resources for Volvo Cars of North America, LLC
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, Juanita Doby, Vice President Human Resources, serves as a member of the Executive Management Group to the largest global market for the Swedish automotive manufacturer.
Mrs. Doby joined Volvo in May of 1980 as Owner Relations Supervisor and was responsible for customer relationship management and field support. She has over 20 years of experience with Volvo and has held various critical positions in both corporate headquarters and field operations, including market development and other core business unit functions. Today, she continues to provide leadership on key strategic initiatives and policy development affecting the bottom line success of the Company. Responsible for all aspects of the human resources function, she recently directed the cross-country relocation of the corporate headquarters from Rockleigh, New Jersey to Irvine, CA. She is also the diversity executive for the Premier Automotive Group (PAG), which consists of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo. In this capacity, she oversees the PAG Diversity Council, which is composed of internal executives and nationally known external diversity experts.
A native of Louisa, Virginia, Mrs. Doby received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Virginia State University and her Masters degree from the State University of New York. She is a member of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals, the Society of Human Resource Managers, the Forum for Executive Women, the Asian Business Association of Orange County, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. and many other community organizations. She also serves as a mentor in several organizations and is on the Board of Directors for the Ed Davis Foundation.
