Map updates for older navigation systems

Here you will find information about how map updates are performed for systems other than Sensus Navigation. Map updates cannot be downloaded to older navigation systems, but they can be updated in other ways, which are described in this article. Volvo supplies several different navigation systems, which are listed in this article.

MapCare™

MapCare™ is a map update service for Volvo cars equipped with Sensus Navigation. This article mainly describes what the MapCare™ service involves for Volvo cars of model year 2014 (2013 week 46) and later (Life Time MapCare™).

If your car is connected to the Internet, the maps can be updated directly from the car.

Send to Car allows you to send map destinations to your Volvo via the Volvo Cars app in the markets where Volvo On Call is available. Maps can be downloaded from www.here.com.

Send to Car allows you to send map destinations to your Volvo via the Volvo Cars app in the markets where Volvo On Call is available. Maps can be downloaded from www.here.com.

Send destination to the car via Send to Car

Send to Car allows you to send map destinations to your Volvo. You can send destinations via the Volvo Cars app. To use this function, your car must be equipped with Sensus Connect and Sensus Navigation, and there must be a Volvo ID registered to the car. To use the function via the Volvo Cars app, your car also has to be equipped with Volvo On Call.
