DRIVe at EcoVelocity
Volvo's DRIVe vehicles will feature at the inaugural EcoVelocity Show which is being held at Battersea Power Station in London between the 8th and 11th September. The show is being organised by IMIE, organisers of the British Motor Show and Metro, the world's largest free newspaper.
Visitors to the show will be able to sample Volvo's entire DRIVe range, of which Volvo now has nine models. Seven of these models produce below 120 g/km (S60, V60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80) and three of these produce below 100 g/km (C30, S40 and V50), meaning they are exempt from the London Congestion and benefit from free Road Tax. Visitors will also have the chance to get behind the wheel of the C30, V60 and XC60 and take them for a drive on the specially-constructed track in the shadow of the famous power station.
EcoVelocity is allowing manufacturers to showcase their latest green models which will include electric, hybrid and very low emissions. All of Volvo's current DRIVe range are powered by normal combustion engines emitting low emissions.
Event founder and organiser Giles Brown commented, "In the absence of the British Motor Show in 2011, EcoVelocity will be the most important and definitely not to be missed motoring event of the year."
