Personal Service Technician (PST)
At Volvo Cars, our ’Designed Around You’ philosophy ensures our customers enjoy a more personalised ownership experience. The role of a Volvo Personal Service Technician is to bring this unique, personalised approach into the workshop of Volvo Cars Retailers.
To help create a closer personal relationship with our customers, Volvo Personal Service Technicians are responsible for each stage of the customer workshop experience: from arranging service bookings and taking delivery of the customer’s car, to performing the service or repair, before finally preparing and clearly explaining the customer’s invoice.
So, as well as being highly skilled and having advanced technical knowledge of today’s cars, a Volvo Personal Service Technician needs to have first-class organisational and customer service skills.
Volvo Cars is establishing itself as an industry leader in new technologies that are changing how people drive and own cars. This means any technician joining Volvo Cars will have the opportunity to work on exciting industry-leading technology, including autonomous drive, in-car connectivity and hybrid powertrains.
As well as having the opportunity to work on the latest automotive technology, as a Volvo Personal Service Technician you will have the pleasure of working in our new, Scandinavian-inspired dealerships. Uniquely designed to give our customers an authentic feel for the Volvo brand, our new dealerships also provide a modern, efficient working environment.
We currently have a team of more than 600 technicians and our continued investment in our staff, including a new state-of-the-art training centre, ensures everyone has the opportunity to develop their knowledge of new car technology, engineering and design – and grow alongside the Volvo brand. Because at Volvo Cars, we believe in people.
