Volvo V60 model year 2026 - Overview
The Volvo V60 is the company’s 5-door, 5-seat mid-size dynamic estate. It is built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), Volvo’s advanced modular product platform that underpins all Volvos in the 90 and 60 Series.
Underlining Volvo’s position as a car maker that combines good looks with everyday practicality, the V60 highlights the company’s pedigree in family estates that cater to the diverse needs and realities of modern family life.
Like its sibling, the XC60, the V60 carries the proud and confident face of Volvo’s design language, along with classic Volvo styling cues. Inside, the V60 has taken cues from the clean, Scandinavian interior design first introduced in the 90 Series cars, raising the bar in the segment with natural materials and exclusive details on the dashboard and instrument panel.
The advanced air purifier system prevents up to 95 per cent of hazardous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin. No matter the conditions outside, the solution can help occupants enjoy better and healthier air quality, while having the possibility to monitor particle and pollen levels outside the car.
Connectivity and infotainment
The Volvo V60 comes equipped with an infotainment system jointly developed with Google featuring built-in Google apps and services*. Intuitive and convenient, this next generation infotainment system offers customers unprecedented personalisation and an unparalleled, which is further enhanced through access to unlimited mobile data (for in-car apps and vehicle communication) for 4 years.
For model year 2026, the V60 was one of the last Volvo models to come equipped with the new Volvo Car UX. It’s designed to be a safe and enjoyable way to interact with your car’s central infotainment screen, more focused and personalised than its predecessor. A further upgrade to the car includes the next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, making our existing Google Android Auto-based infotainment system much faster and much more responsive. The infotainment system in these models will be more than twice as fast as the outgoing system, with graphics generation that is up to 10 times faster.
Thanks to Volvo Car Connect, the V60 is also enabled to receive larger software and operating system updates over the air.
Powertrain technology
The V60 is powered by Volvo’s latest generation plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers 350 (T6) or 455hp (T8). It features an 18.8kWh battery pack that extends the pure electric possibilities.
Powered by the 145hp motor, the V60 T6 and T8 provide up to 57 miles** (WLTP Combined) of pure electric range. With One Pedal Drive, the driver can use the accelerator both for accelerating and braking the car: press for acceleration and lift the pedal for smooth braking all the way to standstill.
The V60 is also available with a 48 Volt mild hybrid petrol variant. The mild hybrid offers smooth take-offs and up to 15 per cent fuel savings and emission reductions in real-world driving.
More details around the powertrain offer can be found in the technical specifications.
Safety and driver assistance
The V60 is equipped with Volvo Cars’ latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensor platform – a modern, scalable active safety system that consists of an array of radars, cameras and ultrasonic sensors.
This platform enables the development and deployment of active safety systems, such as the detection of other road users, automatic braking and collision avoidance. Through the Pilot Assist function, it also allows for gentle driver support from standstill up to highway speeds.
