Our dedication to electrification has been long-standing. Today, you can buy plug-in hybrid Volvo cars that offer the choice to run on gasoline or battery electric power. In the future, we’ll add even more powertrain options – including mild hybrids and battery electric vehicles.

Every new Volvo introduced will be electrified – from mild hybrids that don’t require charging to battery electric vehicles that run on electricity alone.

Not only do our T8 Plug-In Hybrids offer power without compromise, they are also eligible for a federal tax credit of $5,002 and may be eligible for additional state and local tax incentives, including the $1,500 Clean Vehicle Rebate Program in California, which benefits the environment and your wallet.

What is MPGe?

This term stands for “miles per gallon equivalent.” It’s used by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to compare vehicles that are powered by alternate sources of energy rather than gasoline.
