The front seats were designed in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons to deliver ergonomic support. Customize your driving position using the power-operated adjustments. The available extra wide extending seat cushion adds more thigh support. Take the edge off cold commutes and camping trips by opting for heated seats.

Ergonomically designed rear seats and generous legroom deliver cabin-wide comfort. Rear seats are designed with safety in mind, and to help improve the driver’s view out the back, the outer second-row head restraints can fold down at the touch of a button. Upgrade to heat outboard rear seats and keep passengers toasty on colder days.

Life can be a lot, so this cabin is designed with practical storage to keep things simple on the road. Lift the center console armrest to store your things in a small storage area. Drop your phone on the optional charging pad. There's a removable bin at the back of the console to stow items or for garbage. Keep your drink within reach using the console's two cup holders. Pop your laptop or handbag in the large door pockets. And hang takeout on the dashboard fold-out hook.

The available panoramic roof spans the front and rear seats, flooding the cabin with natural light. Dark-tinted laminated glass helps reduce glare and outside noise. Swipe the ceiling-mounted control panel in the front row to open and close the roof and power-operated sunshade.

Spacious

The XC40 has a maximum cargo volume of 57.5 cubic feet. Split and fold the rear seat backrests when you need to carry larger items.

Flexible

The trunk floor can be folded and used as a divider. Hang shopping bags on three available integrated hooks and put the rest in the underfloor compartment.

Secure

A folding and detachable parcel shelf covers the load compartment, concealing items when the tailgate is closed.
