This Applicant Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected from applicants for personnel positions with Volvo Car USA LLC (“Volvo Car USA”) and Volvo Car Technology LLC (“Volvo Car Tech”, together with Volvo Car USA, “the Company”) located in California. If you provide us with personal information of a reference or any other individual as part of your application, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that individual prior to providing the information to us.

If we make a condition offer to hire you, we will ask you for information so that we can carry out pre-hire checks. You must successfully complete pre-hire checks to progress to a final offer. We must confirm the identity of our staff and their right to work in the United States and seek assurance as to their trustworthiness, integrity and reliability. Therefore, we collect the following personal information from you:

  • We have shared your identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity information with IT support to detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and to identify and repair website errors that impair functionality.
