What's new: 2003 Volvo S60
S60 2.4
- Single in-dash CD audio system is now standard.
- Leather steering wheel with Volvo ironmark symbol and gearshift knob are both standard.
- New 15-inch "Musca" alloy wheel replaces former "Lysithea" design.
- Two new colors, Ruby Red metallic (replaces Venetian Red) and Titanium Grey, are available.
- A new 2.4 naturally aspirated SULEV+ (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) engine with 165 horsepower. Torque is unchanged. This engine will only be offered in California.
- S60 2.4 manual transmission model is now available with a power moonroof.
- A variant without moonroof or leather for both manual- and automatic-equipped cars is now available.
Premium Package
The 2003 Premium Package now includes Electronic Climate Control, wood trim and trip computer in addition to a moonroof and leather-covered power driver's seat.
Touring Package
Now includes IAQS, Interior Air Quality Sensor.
Sport Package
New for 2003, the Sport Package includes a new 16-inch "Ursa" alloy wheel design and front fog lights.
Climate Package
The Cold Weather Package has been renamed the Climate Package. It now includes a new option known as Rainsensor. Rainsensor replaces the intermittent wiper control and automatically adjusts wiper speed based on the amount of water sensed on the windshield.
Other Options
The Volvo On Call Plus telematics/mobile phone is a new option for 2003.
S60 2.4T and 2.5T AWD
- Single in-dash CD audio system is now standard.
- Leather steering wheel with Volvo ironmark symbol, wood trim and front fog lights are now standard.
- New 16-inch "Ursa" alloy wheel design replaces former "Mimas" wheel on 2.4T. Tire size is increased from 205/55-16 to 215/55-16.
- Two new colors, Ruby Red metallic (replaces Venetian Red) and Titanium Grey are available.
- A new 2.5-liter light pressure turbo engine with 208 horsepower and 236 ft. lbs. of torque at 1500 rpm replaces last year's 197 horsepower 2.4-liter engine in the AWD variant only.
- A model without a moonroof or leather is now available.

The 2003 Premium Package now includes a power moonroof and trip computer in addition to a leather covered power passenger seat.
Touring Package
Now includes IAQS, Interior Air Quality Sensor.
Sport Package
New for 2003, the Sport Package includes 17-inch "Tethys" design alloy wheels and Geartronic transmission for the 2.4T FWD and 17-inch "Thor" design alloy wheels and T-5 Sport Seats (front and rear) for the 2.5T AWD.
