The all-new Volvo XC90 named Cars.com Best of 2016
Detroit, MI (Jan. 12, 2016) – The Volvo XC90 was presented with Cars.com’s Best of 2016 award today at an awards show at The Fillmore Detroit.
Praising the all-new XC90 for its unparalleled execution, Cars.com citied the luxury SUV’s distinctive Scandinavian styling, blissfully comfortable ride, intuitive and easy to use Sensus infotainment system and family-friendly details like a suite of active-safety features, standard airy panoramic moonroof and integrated boosters seats.
The Volvo XC90 sets a new standard for the luxury SUV segment with an all-new design, Drive-E powertrain and industry-leading semi-autonomous driving technologies. It is equipped with the most comprehensive and technologically sophisticated standard safety package available in the automotive industry and is also available with Pilot Assist – a semi-autonomous driving system that will control vehicle speed and direction up to 30 MPH.

Featuring an unrivalled combination of power and fuel efficiency, the all-new XC90 comes equipped with either front or all-wheel-drive configurations with 250- or 316-horsepower turbocharged and dual-charged engines that can deliver up to an EPA rated 25 MPG. The XC90 is also available with Volvo’s T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) powertrain producing 400 horsepower.
The Volvo S60 was also nominated for Cars.com’s Luxury Car of the Year award, with Cars.com praising the vehicle as a powerful, agile sedan with unique touches that help it stand apart from the luxury field.
