Ordering opens today for U.S. customers
Today, Volvo Cars unveiled the all‑new EX60 in North America for the first time, debuting the highly-anticipated model in New York City and officially opening orders for U.S. customers. With its U.S. debut, the game‑changing EX60 moves one step closer to American consumers. Entering the largest electric vehicle segment, it delivers impressive range, fast charging, and exceptional performance – all at a competitive price.
Available to order now through authorized U.S. retailers and configure online at volvocars.com/us/cars/ex60-electric/, the 2027 Volvo EX60 starts at $58,400 (MSRP), making premium electric SUV ownership more accessible.
“The Volvo EX60 delivers on the key needs of American customers and is ideally positioned to play a major role in Volvo’s growth ambitions in the U.S.,” said Luis Rezende, President, Volvo Car Americas. “Backed by nearly 100 years of safety leadership and Scandinavian design heritage, the Volvo EX60 addresses the biggest barriers for U.S. consumers to switch to an EV, delivering the range Americans want, at a competitive price, with fast, simple charging that fits into daily life.”
More range. More peace of mind.
The EX60 boasts the longest range of any fully-electric Volvo car to date – transforming range anxiety into a sense of freedom. Thoughtful design, engineering, hardware, and software work seamlessly to ensure the EX60 is ready for daily driving and weekend getaways alike.
The P12 AWD** configuration, arriving after the P6 and P10 variants, will offer up to 400 miles of all-electric range on a single charge* – meaning drivers can travel from New York City to Montreal without having to visit a charging station.
| Electric range* | |
| EX60 P6 | Up to 307 miles |
| EX60 P10 AWD | Up to 322 miles |
| EX60 P12 AWD** | Up to 400 miles |
A no-compromise approach to charging
The EX60 is built on the company’s most advanced electric platform to date, SPA3, born electric and developed at Volvo Cars’ home in Gothenburg, Sweden. Designed to set new benchmarks in scalability, modularity, manufacturing efficiency, and cost optimization, SPA3 introduces a range of advanced technologies, including cell-to-body technology, next-generation in-house developed e-motors, a new battery cell design, and megacasting. Together, these innovations help the EX60 achieve the lowest carbon footprint of any fully electric Volvo car to date, matching that of the smaller EX30.
The 800V architecture on the SPA3 platform enables customers to charge quickly, adding up to 173† miles of range in just 10 minutes – about the time it takes to grab a coffee.
| 10 minutes of charging † | Charge time 10-80% † | Max charge rate † | |
| EX60 P6 | Up to 155 miles | 16 minutes | 320 kW |
| EX60 P10 AWD | Up to 165 miles | 16 minutes | 370 kW |
| EX60 P12 AWD** | Up to 173 miles | 19 minutes | 370 kW |
The EX60 is the first Volvo car equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, enabling charging convenience and simple, adapter‑free access to more than 29,000+ Tesla Supercharger stations nationwide.
Backed by decades of safety innovation
In true Volvo Cars fashion, the EX60 is among the safest cars on the road, exceeding many regulatory and rating requirements through the Volvo Cars Safety Standard. Powered by HuginCore, Volvo Cars’ newly named core system inspired by Norse mythology, the EX60’s advanced computing system continuously monitors its surroundings via a suite of advanced sensors, enabling a clear understanding of the world around the car.
By bringing together in‑house electrical architecture, core compute, zone controllers, and software, HuginCore turns the EX60 into a truly software‑defined vehicle. It reflects Volvo Cars’ human‑centric approach by using technology to deliver real customer benefits, while also enabling regular over‑the‑air updates and reinforcing the company’s leadership in safety.
The EX60 will also be the first Volvo car to launch with Gemini, Google’s new AI assistant. Deeply integrated into the car and highly personalized, Gemini makes every drive more helpful by allowing drivers to manage complex tasks through natural, multi-turn conversations without needing to remember specific commands. By reducing the need to interact with the central display, Gemini helps drivers stay focused on the road while enjoying a more seamless and intuitive experience behind the wheel.
Thanks to the onboard computing power provided by HuginCore, the EX60 will be the first car to feature Volvo Cars’ award-winning, world-first multi adaptive safety belt, which delivers smarter, more personalized protection for front row occupants. The EX60’s safety structure centers on a boron steel reinforced safety cage, supported by advanced restraint systems designed to help provide optimal occupant protection.
