Finding the vehicle identification number

All vehicles have a unique identification number, VIN[1].

Note

This article is applicable to vehicles with the earlier Sensus Infotainment system

You can find your vehicle's VIN via the Volvo Cars app, the center display, on your vehicle's dashboard or in your service and warranty booklet.

In the Volvo Cars app

  1. Go to the vehicle tab .
  2. Go to Car details→Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

On the dashboard

Look on the dashboard through the windshield on the driver side of the vehicle.

Via the center display

You can find your vehicle's VIN number in your vehicle's settings.

In the service and warranty booklet or the registration document

The VIN can also be found on the first page of the service and warranty booklet or in the vehicle's registration document.
