Indulge in exclusive Swedish luxury from the comfort of your Volvo.
Inspire your senses
Discover a new level of luxury with Ambience Interior – a unique in-car experience that connects with your senses to help reinvigorate, focus or relax you. Ambience Interior combines visuals, sounds and scents. Choices include the soothing ambience of a Swedish forest, calming focus of a summer’s day or pulsing energy of an orchestra. Visuals project onto the car’s headlining and accompanying sounds take advantage of an enhanced Bowers & Wilkins sound system with extra headrest tweeters, while one of four scents drifts from a device in the centre of the car.
Welcome to the essence of Scandinavia. Step into Ambience Interior, where the sights, sounds and scents of our homeland come to life, creating an exclusive luxury car experience unlike any other.
Choose your mood
Three different moods create a sensory world inside the car, each with its own selection of themes inspired by the Scandinavian experience. Download the app, make your choice and then sit back and enjoy the feeling.
See the light
Projected onto the inside of the panoramic roof, animated light shows create a symphony of atmospheric effects that are a visual delight. They combine with a range of sounds that have been developed to seamlessly blend with the visuals.
Complete the experience
A collection of scents from perfumer Byredo enhances the feeling created by the cabin’s moods. Beautiful and evocative, each has been chosen to match the light and sound effects.
Immersive luxury, Swedish style
With Ambience Interior, rear seat passengers have individual adjustable seats with heating and ventilation. The front passenger seat is replaced by the Lounge Console, providing a footrest and an integrated 12.9-inch tablet, and opens up the car’s interior to create more space. Attention to detail is everywhere, from the additional sound insulation to the handmade Orrefors crystal glasses.

Working at Volvo
A breath of Swedish air
Most of us take breathing fresh air for granted. Not Anders Löfvendahl. He’s an air quality expert, and one of the team behind CleanZone – the innovation that keeps the air inside a new Volvo healthy, however bad the air quality outside.
