Walk down any street in Scandinavia in autumn and you'll see the same thing: black, black, and a bit more black. We've been dressing this way for a long time, so it was only a matter of time before we did it to our cars. Why? Well, first of all,
- It's classic
It looked good forty years ago, and it’ll look good in another forty.
- Black never goes out of style
Which is another way of saying reason one.
- It’s constantly cool
Should we keep going?
- It's timeless
Okay, one more (which you'll notice is also reason one in disguise).
- It goes with everything
A design cheat code, really.
- See reason one
We're running out of ways to say it.
- See reason one
Told you.
We promised seven, but it turns out one covers it. If you'd like to know what you're actually getting though, here's the rest.
When you order a Volvo in our Black Edition, the iron mark, grille, rear badges and wheels are finished in high gloss black. If you want to, you can carry on the theme inside, with two all-black interior rooms to choose from – both with charcoal headlining and chequered aluminium decors, plus two material options for the charcoal seats.
Now, many would say that Onyx Black is the obvious paint choice, but it isn't the only one. Crystal White, Denim Blue and Vapour Grey are available too, for that contrast between a lighter body and the gloss black details.
The look is available on the fully electric EX30, EX40, EC40 and EX90, plus the XC40, XC60 and XC90 in mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid form.
Cool, classic, confident. Need we say more?
