The EX60 Cross Country: adventure-ready by design

The EX60 Cross Country brings our Cross Country heritage into the electric era, with air suspension, bold design and a go‑anywhere feel.

Innovation

EX60

EX60 Cross Country is adventure-ready by design.

You’re probably familiar with our Cross Country models. We more or less invented this segment back in 1997 with the V70 XC.

More than three decades later, the concept has stayed true to itself: bold, distinctive design paired with a sense of freedom and exploration. It’s made for moving easily between city life and the outdoors, in a car that feels confident and capable.

With the fully electric EX60 Cross Country, that same character moves into a new era of modern electric Volvo cars. It’s the EX60 for those of you with a go-anywhere attitude, with a more robust, adventure‑ready feel and unique details. At the same time, it reflects a modern Scandinavian approach, focused on authenticity, comfort and quiet confidence.

As an SUV, the EX60 already offers the higher seating position many drivers appreciate, with a better overview of the road and a natural sense of control. On the Cross Country, we crank up those benefits. The car sits 20 millimetres higher than the standard EX60, and with air suspension you can add another 20 millimetres of ride height if needed.

The air suspension can also lower the car, which enhances high-speed efficiency, stability and aerodynamics – for example when you’re travelling on the highway and want to maximise range.

Distinctly Cross Country

The EX60 Cross Country comes in one exterior execution, with a design and exclusive details that make it a true signature piece.

The front and rear bumpers are in a unique Cross Country design with a grained charcoal finish. Skid plates in brushed stainless steel at the front and back emphasise the car’s expressive look, while wider, rugged wheel arches enhance its overall presence.

It comes with special wheels exclusive to our Cross Country models, as well as clear Cross Country branding on the front bumper, D-pillar and rear bumper.

Connecting with the lower door mouldings and the wheel arch extensions, the side door claddings in grained charcoal finish give the car a stronger stance and a more grounded look. They can also help protect the lower part of the body, for example in challenging road conditions or when parking in tight spaces.

Space, comfort and versatility

Inside, the design creates a calm, uncluttered space, with thoughtfully integrated storage made for everyday use.

The battery cells are integrated directly into the body of the car, which keeps the floor flat. This opens up for more storage, including a space that extends underneath the central console, making it possible to stow away items while maintaining an airy feel in the front seat area.

The trunk is designed for easy loading in and out, with a wide opening, flat floor and a clean, regular shape that makes the most of every centimetre. Smart details like shopping‑bag holders, four load‑securing eyelets and storage trays on the sides help keep everything organised and secure.

Beneath the two-split cargo floor there’s generous hidden storage for items you’d rather keep out of sight, and the lightweight load cover can be neatly stored away under the floor when not in use. When you need extra flexibility, the rear seat backrests fold individually in a 40/20/40 split, so you can easily mix passengers and cargo.

The Cross Country comes with a unique interior, with ventilated midnight blue tailored knit upholstery. Inspired by performance materials in premium sneakers, the structured knit combines a modern look with everyday functionality and is made from 75 per cent recycled polyester. The perforated pattern adds a dynamic look while letting air flow through for effective ventilation.

For charcoal interiors, exclusive charcoal textile inlay mats with Cross Country labelling add both function and versatility. They’re water-resistant and easy to clean with a durable plastic backing – ideal for muddy boots after a forest walk, or snow-covered shoes in winter.

With the EX60 Cross Country, we carry the spirit of Cross Country into a modern electric future – just as ready for everyday life as the road beyond.
