CHANGES AT THE VOLVO CAR UK PRESS OFFICE
Volvo Car UK is pleased to welcome a new face to its Press Office team, just as it eagerly awaits news of another arrival for current Media Relations Manager and mum-to-be Kelly Day.
As you may already be aware, Kelly is departing at the end of March to go on maternity leave. She will be replaced for the remainder of the year by Martin Bayntun, who some of you will already know from his Nobull Communications PR agency work on behalf of Volvo.
Martin comes to Volvo with over five years' automotive PR experience across a range of fleet, retail and consumer sectors - including work with Volvo, Nissan and Chrysler Group. His career in PR follows four years as a journalist working for Yorkshire Regional Newspapers.
Martin will be responsible for day-to-day media relations, event planning and product placement and will report directly to Duncan Forrester, Head of Public Affairs, Events and Sponsorship. He will also work closely with Product Communications Executive Chris Mullord and Carley Bartley who takes care of the day-to-day running of the press fleet.
"I've greatly enjoyed working with Volvo from a supplier agency perspective in recent years so am naturally delighted to get this opportunity to get more closely involved," said Martin.
"There's an exciting year ahead for Volvo and I'm looking forward to the new challenge!"
