BIOGRAPHY
Since leaving school Steven Armstrong has spent all of his working life within the automotive industry, first within the component segment and for the last 20 years within the brands under Ford Motor Company.
Having specialised in Purchasing early in his career, he has held a number of senior Purchasing management roles including leading both Jaguar's and Volvo's global Purchasing operations and Ford and Mazda's joint ventures in North America. He and his family have been based outside of the UK since 1999.
He is known for his collaborative and data driven management style and has been recognised by external organisations as a leading Purchasing executive within Europe for his work in developing and maximising supplier relationships.
Steven has utilised his experience gained as a member of the executive management teams in his Purchasing roles to make the transition into a senior general management position.
During his time in the UK he represented Jaguar on a number of external industry forums and was a guest lecturer at a number of Universities.
Steven is married to Kay and they have two teenage children, son Matthew and daughter Charlotte.
