Starting with Model Year 15.5 you can download the latest maps for Sensus Connect online. The download is carried out using a program installed on your computer. This program helps you to download the large map file and allows you to interrupt the download and resume it later if necessary. Depending on your Internet connection and file size, it may take over 2-3 hours to fully download to the USB from your computer.
The map must be downloaded to an empty 32GB USB memory stick formatted with FAT32. See detailed information for the relevant map below to see the map file size.The current map version is 32319167 AA which was released in April 2025. This map update also contains an update to the Gracenote.
Gracenote is the standard for identifying music. This is the database that provides the information for the Artist, track, and artwork for your music collection from CDs, digital files, and streaming services. Volvo uses Gracenote to keep our customers' music experience current. The Gracenote database is constantly being updated for an optimized user experience. We at Volvo want to keep our customers' Volvos update to date for the best user experience so we have included the files with the map updates.
Note: It is not appropriate to use a mobile connection when downloading the maps; i.e. using mobile devices/phones or if the subscription has a limit on the number of GB that can be downloaded per month.
You can check the current version of your map in your car by following these steps:
- Press the NAV button on the center console
- Press OK/MENU or press the scroll wheel
- Select Settings
- Select System Information

After you select the appropriate link for your operating system, please select "Run" from the pop up menu, select "New Download" and select USB.
To update your maps:
- Turn on your Volvo
- Insert the memory stick into the USB port in the center console of your Volvo
- Press the NAV button
- When the USB has been detected you will receive a pop up message on your Sensus Connect Infotainment screen to accept the upload
- After you accept, the maps will begin uploading
Note: The Volvo does need to have power to it for the maps to upload. If the upload has not finished before you need to turn off the car, simply leave the USB drive in the port and it will resume the next time the car is turned on. Depending on the file size of the update it may take over 2 hours in your Volvo.
