Exterior features of the Volvo XC90 Executive include body-coloured door handles and waist mouldings, the unique silver metallic square-mesh grille, roof rails of polished aluminium, rear skidplate and chromium-plated Executive badging. The XC90 Executive is available in a choice of six body colours. Two of these – White Pearl and Titanium Grey Pearl – are exclusive to the Executive in the XC90 range. Available as an option are unique 18-inch split-rim BBS alloy wheels.
- Leather and woodLeather and wood are the dominant elements of the luxurious interior.
- The first two rows of seats have extra-soft leather upholstery with contrast piping.
- The same grade of leather is used with contrast stitching for the door interior panels and the front-door armrests.
- Extra inlays of genuine walnut on the upper section of the centre stack console, the gear lever knob and the window switch surrounds, in addition to the walnut inlays found in standard XC90 models.
- Cabin and load compartment floors have carpet with extra-deep pile.

Refrigerator and DVD player
As optional equipment, a refrigerator big enough for four 500-ml cans can be installed under the armrest between the front seats.
There is also the option of installing a Rear Seat Entertainment system.
This system comprises an integrated DVD player in the front centre armrest, twin 7-inch screens in the front head restraints, cordless headphones and remote control.
The system has interfaces for other devices, such as a second DVD player, a games console or a video camera.
Because the two screens can be used independently, this means, for instance, that two of the passengers in this row of seats can watch a film while the third plays a computer game or watches a different film.
T6 or D5
The Volvo XC90 Executive is available as either a T6, with the straight six, 2.9-litre 272-bhp engine, or a D5, with Volvo’s own 2.4-litre, 163-bhp turbodiesel engine.
