To use the connected functions in the Volvo Cars app, the car requires a subscription for connected services. You can choose between different time periods1 when you renew or reactivate your subscription for connected services.
Cars equipped with Google built-in2 are supplied with a subscription to digital services, which provides access to connected functions in the Volvo Cars app, as well as additional services. The subscription is valid for 4 years.
Buy a subscription renewal for connected services1
- in the Volvo Cars app
- via an authorised Volvo dealer
- online via the link store.volvocars.com.
Renew subscription for connected services with the Volvo Cars app
Go to the tab.
Select Subscription.
Press Payment method under Payment profile.
Press + Add new card.
Enter your card details and tap on Save.
Verify your payment card with Bank ID if required by your bank.
Tap on Ready when verification is complete.
Navigate back to Subscription.
Press Connected services under Your subscriptions.
Press Renew.
Select if your are a private customer or corporate customer and select payment card.
Press Renew.
Tap on Ready when renewal is confirmed.
Note
If you wish to pay for renewal after your subscription for connected services has expired, the connected functions in the Volvo Cars app may need to be reactivated. Therefore, it is a good idea to extend your subscription before it expires so that you can use the services without interruption. If the subscription has expired and is then restarted, the new period starts at the time of purchase. Contact Volvo Customer Care for help and guidance on how to renew your subscription.
