Setting up your EX30
To get the most out of your car from the beginning, it’s a good idea to prepare some things in the Volvo EX30 app before you get your car. The app will guide you through a few steps to set up your car. This includes logging in to the app and activating automatic software downloads. You will be able to do more in the app later.
Downloading the Volvo EX30 app
The Volvo EX30 app is available for iPhone and Android phones. You can download it for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app is updated regularly, so make sure that you have the latest version on your phone.
The minimum software version required on your device to use the Volvo EX30 app is:
- iOS 14.0
- Android 8.0
Start by downloading the Volvo EX30 app if you haven’t already done so. Open the app and log in with your Volvo ID. When you are logged in, you can see what you can do right now in the app.
Make sure that you have downloaded the correct app. You cannot use the regular Volvo Cars app for the Volvo EX30 car. Similarly, you cannot use the Volvo EX30 app for other car models than EX30.Note
Setting up your car in the Volvo EX30 app
After you have logged in to the app, it is time to set up your car. This involves giving consent to automatic software downloads and enabling mobile internet in the car[1].
- Go to the
tab. - Select Set up your EX30 and follow the instructions in the app.When the set up is complete and you have recieved your EX30 car, you can start the process to pair the app to the car. See Pairing the EX30 app with the car for more information.
Automatic software downloads
Automatic software downloads will give your car the latest features and software improvements for your car. Software updates will be downloaded automatically over-the-air (OTA).
