Managing and deleting your Volvo ID
Information about managing your Volvo ID account and how to delete it when ending ownership of your car.
Changing country
A Volvo ID is registered to a specific country and can’t be transferred between countries. If you're relocating to another country and want to reuse the same email address, you'll need to delete your current account and create a new one.
When deleting your current Volvo ID account you will be unpaired from the car and all your personal data will be deleted, including your trip history.Note
How to delete your current Volvo ID
- In the Volvo Cars app got to Profile Tab > Manage Account select Delete your account and follow the instructions.
> After deleting your Volvo ID you’ll need to create a new Volvo ID.
When creating your new account, make sure to select your new country during registration.
Ending car ownership
When ending ownership of your car, follow these steps to ensure all of your personal data is removed from the car:
- In the Volvo Cars app Unpair the app from your car.
- Remove the car in the Volvo Cars app.
- Perform a factory reset in the car's centre display.
